A demanding musician with a strong personality, she comes from gospel and played with Lionel Hampton's orchestra in the 1940s.
Her repertoire lies at the intersection of jazz, blues, and rhythm & blues, featuring numerous hits from the 1950s and 60s, particularly her recordings for Mercury Records.

Recognized in the biggest clubs and festivals across Europe, Marion Chrétien has made a name for herself with the famous Glossy Sisters and Shades Vocal Band, with whom she has performed over 500 concerts in France and abroad over the past 10 years.
She is now established as one of the standout voices on the French jazz scene.
She has graced some of the most beautiful stages: Jazz à Vienne, Crest Jazz Vocal (Jury and Audience Awards), La Nuit Jazz Magazine at the Trianon, the Tahiti Jazz Festival alongside Dee Dee Bridgewater, and the Tanjazz in Tangier.
