Pierre Gibbe
Pierre Gibbe is a bassist influenced by funk, soul, and hip-hop. Trained at the CNR in Lyon in jazz, he first made his mark with the band Uptake, winner of the Jazz à Vienne competition. Based in Paris since 2017, he joined the collective La Petite Écurie and gradually established himself in the Parisian scene. His playing, both groovy and eclectic, has led him to collaborate with a diverse range of artists including Lyricson, Steve Waring, Emma Peters, and Jewel Usain. He has also shared the stage with DeLaSoul, Goldlink, and Barry Moore, exploring a hybrid aesthetic between urban music and contemporary jazz.
