| New album “And the winter came again”

“And then winter came again” is the second opus of the ten-year collaboration between Francesco Bearzatti and Federico Casagrande. After “Lost Songs” (a collection of Bearzatti's compositions that they played throughout Europe for several years), it is now Casagrande's turn to lead the duo into new musical territory, following the path laid out by his writing. While the first album was recorded live during a concert, this time they chose the studio as the ideal setting to record the new music.
“And the winter came again” is a collection of songs bathed in diffuse twilight. Bizarre characters and their stories, lost landscapes of the world and the mind are evoked through the wide range of sounds at their disposal.
Once again, the form of the song is at the center of this work; their storytelling is even more refined, and all the songs present themselves as abstract and detailed paintings.
Bearzatti plays both tenor and clarinet, bringing the warm sound and emotional lyricism we know him for. In addition to his talents as a polyphonic guitarist, Casagrande brings a broader dimension with live effects and loops.
“And then winter came again” is an ode to calm, tranquility, and depth through the waves of cycles that mark life.
