Étienne Renard invites four of the most prominent musicians from the French and international jazz scene, including Jérôme Sabbagh for his debut at 38Riv, for an evening of original compositions and standards.
As both a sideman and composer, bassist and composer Étienne Renard enjoys putting his talent to the service of collective creation. His studies at CNSMD in Paris and his numerous collaborations in France and abroad contribute to a highly demanding personal exploration.
What matters for this grounded musician is to accompany a constantly evolving musical material, without constraining or forcing it, through attentive listening, while applying his knowledge and technique to the organic nature of music.
