No one sang lightness and spirit like the enchanting Blossom Dearie: what better invitation than a journey into the heart of intimate jazz and the Great American Songbook to brighten up an afternoon? Elisa Lécuyer draws us into the wake of this voice, which is by turns mischievous, crystalline and deeply human, reviving the grace of a repertoire where every word smiles. Through these songs, the whole of New York sparkles – between hushed cabarets and starry nights – charming and touching us in equal measure.

French-Venezuelan singer Elisa Lécuyer flourishes as a storyteller of melodies. Once a month, at 38Riv, she dons her academic attire to immerse herself in the work of one of her favourite artists. Between concert and lecture, she unfurls stories and songs with the same eager and inspired momentum. She uses her impetuous energy and eloquent vulnerability to express her musicality, always in the service of the lyrics of the songs she performs.
