Compositions, improvisations, and electronic music come together here in a unique Franco-Belgian trio.

Maxime Sanchez began playing piano at age 4 in Seoul (South Korea). He discovered jazz in the Toulouse region and enrolled in the Marciac middle school (with a flexible schedule). In 2006, he moved to Paris and, two years later, joined the jazz program at the Paris National Conservatory of Music (CNSMDP).

In Paris, he gained a wealth of musical experience.

Among the highlights of his career as a sideman are his work with François Jeanneau at Pandemonium, Magik Malik’s group “Jazz Association,” Belgian saxophonist Toine Thys’s group “Orlando,” and his work alongside David Enhco (Keyston Big Band, quartet with Maitrises, etc.).

And his own projects as a leader or co-leader: FLASH PIG, KEPLER, and his new trio “Standards.” In 2025, FLASH PIG received the 2024 Prix du Disque Français, a wonderful recognition for this project that is particularly close to his heart.

In 2018, Maxime made a name for himself in the jazz world by becoming one of the very few European musicians to make the list of winners at the famous Thelonious Monk Competition, where he finished third.
