Michel Zenino & Ronnie Lynn Patterson
A key figure on the French jazz scene, Michel Zenino has built a rich career collaborating with major jazz icons such as Archie Shepp, Barney Wilen, Toots Thielemans, James Carter, and Eric Truffaz. Winner of the La Défense National Jazz Competition in 1988, he is recognized for the depth of his playing, his virtuosity, and his keen sense of listening, both on stage and through his work as an educator.
Alongside him, Ronnie Lynn Patterson, a self-taught pianist who has been based in France since 1991, develops a unique sound influenced by the legacy of Keith Jarrett, McCoy Tyner, and composer Morton Feldman. His approach, both free and sensitive, as well as deeply personal, has earned him critical acclaim and collaborations with musicians such as Jean-Jacques Avenel and Didier Lasserre.
Together as a duo, Michel Zenino and Ronnie Lynn Patterson offer a musical conversation of great finesse, where double bass and piano engage in elegant dialogue, camaraderie, and a freedom of improvisation that fully embraces the moment.
