Two musicians with a passion for the waltz have joined forces to present a unique programme dedicated to the gypsy waltz.
Adrien Tarraga, a fan of ‘old-style’ gypsy jazz, will highlight the gypsy waltz in relation to the musette waltz – an older and deeply traditional style.
Lu Golovina, fascinated by the richness and versatility of gypsy jazz, will explore more modern waltzes, as well as works by contemporary composers.
Throughout the concert, the musicians will blend waltzes and swing pieces to convey the full diversity and flavour of the style.
On the programme – waltzes in all their forms, as well as essential jazz standards.
