A drummer trained at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM) and active for several years on the Paris scene, notably with the AMG quartet, Mailo Rakotonanahary has been pursuing his studies at the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance in Los Angeles since September 2026, under the direction of Herbie Hancock and Ambrose Akinmusire. Visiting Paris, he presents his new compositions written in the United States, blending tradition and contemporary influences in a project that reflects the evolution of his career between Europe and America.
