Henri Texier & Tony Tixier
Tony Tixier is a Franco-American pianist and composer, trained in classical piano before turning to jazz and improvisation, developing a musical identity that blends composition and improvisation.
From a young age, he performed on major stages alongside artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Marcus Miller, and McCoy Tyner, before settling in New York and becoming a permanent fixture in the international jazz scene. In 2012, he released Dream Pursuit with his American quartet, which was critically acclaimed and named “Révélation” by Jazz Magazine.
Beyond jazz, he collaborates with Andrea Bocelli, Jon Batiste, Usher, Juliette Armanet, and DJ Deep, and serves as a pianist on America’s Got Talent and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He performs at iconic venues such as Blue Note NYC, Jazz in Marciac, and the Apollo Theater, and composes with his brother Scott for Janet Cardiff at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. At this venue, Tony Tixier develops contemporary, expressive, and accessible music at the intersection of jazz, pop, and international variety.
