Geri Allen is one of jazz's leading pianists. A prolific and multifaceted artist with roots in gospel music, she also helped create the new M-Base style with Steve Coleman in the 1980s and explored free jazz with saxophonist Ornette Coleman. She shines brightly in the musical inspirations of pianist and composer Leïla Olivesi, who dedicated one of the tracks on her album Suite Andamane to her. At the head of a high-flying quartet, the Django Reinhardt Prize winner leads us in the wake of lively and inspiring music!
Leïla Olivesi: piano
Jean-Charles Richard: baritone saxophone, soprano saxophone
Yoni Zelnik: double bass
Donald Kontomanou: drums
