Concert dessiné Le voyage de Claude
The Journey of Claude – a Musical and Illustrated Claud-yssey
The Journey of Claude is a children's show that plunges headfirst into a poetic, musical, and visual universe. An initiatory adventure that begins with a setback: Claude, a curious and sensitive little heroine, doesn't know how to swim. No matter! She sets off to explore the world, meeting colorful characters who will help her overcome her fears and find her path. A sweet and joyful odyssey, blending introspection, humor, and emancipation. But... bloup! We prefer not to reveal everything...
On stage, the Claude Trio unfolds a lively score, merging jazz and storytelling. The music, specially composed for the project, combines improvised flights, playful grooves, and dreamy melodies. It accompanies the narrative, pre-recorded and brought to life by the musicians' own voices, alternating between dialogues, whimsical situations, and poetic confessions.
As the music tells the story, Sophie Bataille, a globe-trotting watercolorist, draws the entire tale of Claude live. Her brushes bring landscapes, emotions, and characters to life. She reveals, transforms, erases, and starts anew, in total harmony with the trio. Like a living travel diary, where each drawing unfolds before our eyes, carried by the music.
The Journey of Claude offers 45 minutes of sensitive immersion for both young and old. A show where children (and adults!) discover jazz without prejudice, with the enthusiasm of play, the power of imagination, and the softness of watercolor. An initiatory tale, but also an invitation to feel, to marvel, to laugh, and to grow. Swim fins, a bathing cap, and an open heart are recommended.
