A Birchola Trio

Agathe Francopoulo, Francesco Cosentini, and Nils Wekstein, respectively on vocals, guitar, and percussion, explore a carefully selected repertoire of Brazilian songs ranging from bossa nova to popular samba, including the new MPB (musica popular brasileira).

The trio brings together three musicians with unique backgrounds: a guitarist rooted in Italian and gypsy music, a specialist in Afro-Cuban percussion, and a singer who has always been passionate about Brazil. Guided by Agathe's intense and ethereal voice, they interpret this style with personal arrangements and a few original compositions, transitioning from the most delicate saudade to the infectious rhythms that enrich Brazilian music.
