After a first solo album praised by the international press, saxophonist Sakina Abdou returns with a brand-new trio. Joined by the astral touch of Polish pianist Marta Warelis and the organic, earthy playing of French drummer Toma Gouband, she released her first trio album on the New York label Relative Pitch Records in autumn 2024. Far from conventional paths, this project explores a sonic landscape where the deep connection between the three musicians weaves a texture that is at once powerful, poetic, and entirely spontaneous.
