American pianist and composer Richard Sears returns to 38Riv with a program blending new compositions and jazz standards.
"There’s a touch of Monk in Richard Sears' chord suites. Discovered at a concert of his sextet in a Brooklyn club, with Ravi Coltrane, son of John, as a guest on saxophone, Richard Sears has captured our attention ever since. His young work already showcases a singular musician." - Le Figaro
