Lecture musicale Mary Lou Williams, little piano girl

The Little Piano Girl: The Story of Mary Lou Williams, Jazz Legend, is a children's album about the life of Mary Lou Williams, a jazz pianist and composer, a major figure who has long been sidelined in history.

This bilingual reading (in English and French) will be followed by a listening session of selected pieces and a discussion about Mary Lou Williams, the history of jazz, and issues of discrimination. This event is part of the project “Women in Jazz, Another History of Jazz,” which highlights the contributions of women in jazz.

Duration: 50 minutes. Suitable for ages 7 and up.
Tickets are €13 online (single price, valid for 1 person, child or adult).
Doors open 30 minutes before the event.
