Mailo Rakotonanahary

A drummer trained at the CNSM in Paris and active for several years on the Parisian scene, notably with the quartet AMG, Mailo Rakotonanahary has been continuing his studies at the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance in Los Angeles since September 2026, under the guidance of Herbie Hancock and Ambrose Akinmusire. During his visit to Paris, he presents his new compositions written in the United States, blending tradition with contemporary influences in a project that reflects the evolution of his journey between Europe and America.
