Hillai Govreen is a New York–based clarinetist, saxophonist, and composer whose work bridges jazz tradition and contemporary forms of expression. Her latest album, Every Other Now (Fresh Sound, 2025), offers a dynamic overview of the New York music scene, highlighting her unique voice as a performer, composer, and bandleader. Her music flows seamlessly between structure and spontaneity, intimacy and abstraction, weaving modern textures within a deeply rooted jazz language.
For this performance, the repertoire will mix finely reinterpreted jazz standards with original compositions. She will be accompanied by renowned musicians: Shimon Gamburg on double bass, Simon Chivallon on piano, and Jesus Vega on drums.
