Emma Rawicz and Freddie Jensen have been playing together in various formations – from duos to quartets to big bands – for several years. Their remarkable musical rapport is based on rich and subtle interaction, exploiting the full expressive range of the double bass, both as a solo and accompanying instrument.
The duo format promises an exciting exploration of the respective roles of their instruments, in a constant and inventive dialogue. Their repertoire reflects a shared love for a wide variety of styles, ranging from modern jazz to jazz fusion, to the world of singer-songwriters.
