| Around Miles Davis
From pioneer to legend, Miles Davis revolutionised jazz music, giving it a breadth and scope that no one else could have achieved. Élie Martin-Charrière was nourished from an early age by the music of Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and Tony Williams, and was keen to revisit this universe and pay tribute to this immortal soul of music on the centenary of his birth (Miles Davis was born on 26 May 1926 in Illinois). 'Nefertiti', “Little Church”, “Orbits”, from all eras, this music where extreme risk-taking is the centrepiece of the programme. Without trumpet on this occasion, to pay tribute to the very essence of what he created, without trying to imitate him. Thank you Miles!
