A leading jazz violinist, Bastien Ribot is the co-founder of the RP Quartet, where he has earned a global reputation for his precise bowing technique and the quality of his arrangements.
A graduate of the Didier Lockwood School, he has participated in numerous jazz festivals such as Samois-Sur-Seine, Django in June (USA), Gypsy Jazz Festival in Nouméa, Djangofestivalen in Stockholm, Jazz sur son 31 and in venues such as the New Morning and the Duc des Lombards.
He won the Jazz Prize at the Stéphane Grappelli competition in 2013 and currently teaches jazz violin at the Didier Lockwood School (CMDL). Throughout his career, he has performed with the great names of gypsy jazz such as Angello Debarre, Tchavolo Schmitt, Steve Laffont, Rocky Gresset and Stochelo Rosenberg.
