| Swing
Originally from the Paris region, Mathieu Meyer is an eclectic pianist who has become a key figure on the swing scene. A musical chameleon, from bebop to rock, electronic music, African music, and lyrical accompaniment, he is now one of the most sought-after pianists on the international swing, ragtime, and New Orleans scene. Guided by his spirit of freedom and his own sensibility, he creates his own synthesis of the multiple influences that inspire him, to the delight of audiences who appreciate his unique phrasing and playful style.
He teams up with two long-time collaborators, Yann-Lou Bertrand and Ophélie Luminati, each with their own strong personality, to explore the infinite possibilities of the trio, following in the footsteps of those who have left their mark on the genre, from Erroll Garner to Ahmad Jamal, but also the great pre-war masters who have lent themselves to the exercise: Earl Hines, Teddy Wilson, Art Tatum... Between modern standards, revisited classics and compositions, this is a surprising program that will leave no one indifferent.
