Saxophonist and composer Ori Jacobson presents music from his debut album “Fading Bridges,” new compositions from an upcoming project, and fresh interpretations of jazz standards. He is accompanied by leading Parisian musicians and a special guest from New York.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music and the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, directed by pianist Danilo Pérez, Ori Jacobson received full scholarships for his bachelor's and master's degrees, recognizing his excellence in jazz and saxophone performance. He trained with major figures in contemporary jazz, including Joe Lovano, George Garzone, and David Liebman.
During his career, he has shared the stage with Esperanza Spalding, Terri Lyne Carrington, and Susana Baca, and has performed at prestigious venues and festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Beacon Theatre, and the Agganis Arena. Based for a time in New York, he has also played at iconic clubs such as Smalls and Mezzrow.
He now leads the Ori Jacobson Quartet and also performs with the Doug Weiss Quartet (New York) and Àbásé.
