The word “serendipity” is broadly defined as the gift of making fruitful discoveries by chance. It is a form of understanding obtained through chance itself.
Olivier Ker Ourio and Quentin Dujardin met in 2016 while recording in a studio with Richard Bona, Manu Katché, and Ivan Paduart. The shared vibe they felt for melodies made it obvious to them that one day they would make a record together to capture the intensity of the original sound they sensed.
Since that happy encounter, time has done its work on their respective musical approaches: jazz for the harmonica player, crossover for the guitarist.
“Olivier Ker Ourio & Quentin Dujardin, chance does things well. Superb original version of Charles Mingus' famous Goodbye Pork Pie Hat!” France Musique (FR)
